WHAT MAKES A PAVING LEAD QUALIFIED

Know What Counts Before the First Paving Lead Arrives

A paving inquiry could be a small driveway repair, a full residential replacement or a six-figure commercial parking lot project. Before launch, we define the exact services, territory and exclusions used to classify a qualified paving opportunity. Those rules give both sides a consistent way to measure lead quality, campaign performance and the first-30-day benchmark.

A Qualified Paving Lead Generally Includes

An inquiry generally qualifies when the prospective customer:

Campaigns can be built around the work your company wants most — including driveway paving, asphalt replacement, resurfacing, commercial parking lots, roadway or private-lane work, concrete paving, repairs, sealcoating or other approved services.

What We Do Not Count as a Qualified Paving Lead

These inquiries are excluded when LeadStead reports qualified lead volume and evaluates the agreed performance benchmark:

Qualification Criteria Are Established Up Front

Before the first ad launches, we document the paving services to target, the geographic area to serve and any project types that should not count.

If an inquiry does not satisfy those rules, it is not counted as a qualified paving lead when we report campaign performance or evaluate the 30-day benchmark.

Your Paving Leads Are Generated for Your Company — Not Resold.

Campaigns Built for Your Paving Business Advertising is built around your paving company, your services and the locations where you actually want more projects.
Calls & Estimate Requests Go Directly to You Qualified calls and estimate requests are routed to your business through the agreed phone, email, SMS, CRM or integration workflow.
Never Resold to Competing Paving Contractors LeadStead does not take an inquiry generated through your campaign and sell or distribute that same lead to competing paving companies.
Prospects Engage With Your Brand Campaign landing pages can operate under your company branding so the prospective customer sees your paving business from the beginning.

HOW THE ECONOMICS WORK

$2,500/Month to Manage the Paving Acquisition System

Two Separate Costs. No Per-Lead Fees.

Your advertising spend and LeadStead’s $2,500 monthly management fee are separate. Your paving company pays the advertising platforms directly, while LeadStead charges one flat monthly fee to manage and optimize the acquisition system.

There are two primary costs to consider:

1. Advertising Spend

Your paving company pays Google, Meta or another approved advertising platform directly.

You control the advertising budget and approve the maximum amount you are comfortable spending. LeadStead requires a minimum $5,000 monthly media budget for this managed program.

2. LeadStead’s Monthly Management Fee

LeadStead charges a flat $2,500 monthly management fee for campaign strategy, Google and Meta Ads management, paving landing pages, tracking, qualification, reporting and ongoing optimization.

There is no additional LeadStead fee for each lead generated. If the campaigns become more efficient and generate more qualified paving opportunities within the approved media budget, your LeadStead management fee remains $2,500.

Illustrative Paving Campaign Example

A simplified flat-fee paving campaign could look like this:

Monthly Advertising Budget
$7,500

Qualified Leads Generated
30

Advertising Cost per Qualified Lead
$250

LeadStead Monthly Management Fee
$2,500

Additional Per-Lead Fee
$0

In this example, the paving company spends $7,500 directly on advertising and pays LeadStead the flat $2,500 monthly management fee. If 30 qualified paving opportunities are generated, there is no additional per-lead charge.

Actual Paving Lead Costs Vary by Market and Project Type

Lead costs can vary substantially based on location, paving season, competition, service mix and project size. A residential driveway lead may have very different economics from a commercial parking lot, municipal-style project or large asphalt replacement opportunity.

That is why we review your service mix, territory, seasonality and expected project economics before recommending a campaign budget.

The goal is not simply to produce the cheapest form submissions possible. The goal is to generate paving opportunities that are worth estimating and pursuing.

Example is for illustration only. Actual advertising cost, lead volume and paving project mix will vary by campaign.

1. Define Success Upfront

The benchmark is documented before launch so both sides know what LeadStead is expected to achieve. It can consider qualified paving lead volume and acquisition efficiency rather than clicks, impressions or unqualified inquiries.

2. Give the Campaign 30 Days

LeadStead builds, launches and optimizes the campaign during the first 30 days while tracking qualified calls and estimate requests against the agreed benchmark.

3. Miss the Benchmark? We Refund Our Fee.

If LeadStead does not achieve the agreed first-30-day benchmark, the first month’s $2,500 LeadStead management fee is refunded, subject to the campaign terms and eligibility requirements.

The guarantee applies to LeadStead’s first-month management fee. Advertising spend paid directly to Google, Meta or another media platform is not refundable by LeadStead.

Guarantee eligibility requires the agreed media budget to remain available, timely campaign approvals, functioning lead-delivery systems and no material client-driven interruption or change to the agreed campaign during the first 30 days.

HOW THE PAVING LEAD PROGRAM WORKS

A Practical Process for Building Predictable Paving Lead Flow

1

Define the Projects You Want

We review your paving services, ideal project types, geographic territory, estimator availability, crew capacity and growth objectives.

2

Agree on Lead Criteria

We agree on what counts as a qualified paving lead — including service type, territory, project requirements and exclusions.

3

Approve the Advertising Budget

You approve the media budget and spending limits before launch. The managed program requires at least $5,000 per month in media spend.

4

Build & Launch the Campaign

LeadStead builds the ads, landing pages, conversion tracking, call tracking and lead-routing setup needed to start generating inquiries.

5

Measure Lead Quality

We review qualified-lead volume, project quality, services being requested and acquisition costs, then make adjustments to improve performance and the agreed campaign goals.

6

Scale What Produces Good Projects

When a campaign, service area or project type is producing acceptable economics, volume can be increased within your approved media budget and operational capacity without increasing LeadStead’s flat monthly management fee.

WHO THIS MODEL IS BUILT FOR

Designed for Paving Companies With Capacity to Quote and Complete More Work

LeadStead’s managed paving acquisition program is best suited to established paving contractors that already have crews, equipment and a sales process in place and want a measurable system for generating more project opportunities.

This Model Works Best If You:

  • Operate an established paving or asphalt company
  • Have crew and equipment capacity for additional work
  • Can respond quickly to new calls and estimate requests
  • Have someone available to visit sites and prepare estimates or proposals
  • Follow up consistently after site visits and estimates
  • Understand customer acquisition economics, average project value and close rates
  • Can invest at least $5,000/month in customer acquisition when the market supports it
  • Want to reduce dependence on referrals, repeat customers and word-of-mouth alone
  • Want professional Google and Meta campaign management with transparent, measurable acquisition reporting

It May Not Be the Right Fit If:

  • You only want to spend a few hundred dollars per month on advertising
  • New calls and estimate requests routinely go unanswered
  • Your crews, estimators or equipment are already fully booked
  • Your service territory or target project types are still unclear
  • Your paving company is still testing whether its core services and pricing are viable
  • Your team rarely follows up after providing an estimate or proposal
  • You expect every qualified paving lead to become a signed project

LeadStead is responsible for generating qualified opportunities. Your response time, site visit, estimating process, pricing, reputation, follow-up and ability to schedule the work ultimately determine how many opportunities become paying projects.

PAVING ADS & LEAD GENERATION FAQ

Common Questions About LeadStead’s Managed Paving Program

How much does LeadStead charge to manage paving advertising?

LeadStead charges a flat $2,500 monthly management fee for the managed paving acquisition program.

The management fee does not increase based on the number of qualified paving leads generated. Advertising spend is separate and is paid directly by your paving company to Google, Meta or another approved advertising platform.

Do you charge a fee for every paving lead?

No. There is no additional LeadStead per-lead charge under the flat-fee managed program.

If campaign efficiency improves and the same approved advertising budget generates more qualified paving opportunities, your LeadStead management fee remains $2,500 per month.

Is paving advertising spend included in the $2,500 management fee?

No. Media spend and LeadStead’s management fee are separate.

Your paving company pays Google, Meta or another approved platform directly for advertising. LeadStead separately charges the flat $2,500 monthly fee for managing the acquisition system.

What is LeadStead’s 30-day performance guarantee?

Before launch, LeadStead and your team agree on a measurable first-30-day performance benchmark based on your paving market, services and project types, seasonality, approved advertising budget and qualified-lead criteria.

If LeadStead does not meet that agreed benchmark within the first 30 days, the first month’s $2,500 management fee is refunded, subject to the campaign terms and eligibility requirements. Advertising spend paid directly to Google or Meta is not refundable by LeadStead.

What is the 30-day paving performance benchmark?

The benchmark is established before the campaign launches rather than using one universal target for every paving company.

It may consider qualified paving lead volume, advertising cost per qualified lead and other agreed acquisition-efficiency measures based on whether you are targeting driveway paving, asphalt replacement, commercial parking lots, resurfacing, repairs or other approved projects, along with seasonality, competition and the approved media budget.

Who pays Google or Meta for the advertising?

Your paving company does.

The advertising platform bills your business directly rather than the media budget passing through LeadStead.

Does my paving company keep ownership of the advertising account?

Yes. Your paving company owns and controls the advertising account used for the campaign.

LeadStead receives the management access required to build, monitor and optimize the approved paving campaigns.

What counts as a qualified paving lead?

Generally, a qualified paving lead is a genuine prospective customer in the approved territory who is requesting a paving service included in the campaign and provides enough valid information for your team to reasonably pursue an estimate or sales conversation.

The exact project types, geography, exclusions and other qualification rules are documented before launch and are used to measure campaign performance.

How do spam, wrong-service or out-of-area inquiries affect performance reporting?

Spam, fake submissions, job seekers, vendors, wrong-service requests, out-of-territory prospects and other documented exclusions are not counted as qualified paving opportunities when LeadStead reports campaign performance or evaluates the agreed benchmark.

Can an inbound phone call count as a qualified paving lead?

Yes. A phone call can qualify when the caller is genuinely requesting an approved paving service and meets the other documented campaign requirements.

Wrong numbers, vendors, job seekers and irrelevant calls do not become qualified simply because someone called a campaign tracking number.

How are paving phone calls tracked?

Dedicated campaign tracking numbers can route calls directly to your paving company while allowing LeadStead to attribute the inquiry to the source or campaign that generated it.

Depending on the setup, call duration, answer status, recordings, transcripts and qualification status may also be reviewed to help measure lead quality and campaign performance.

Do campaigns have to use our existing paving website?

Not necessarily.

Your existing paving website can be used when it supports the campaign properly, but dedicated campaign landing pages often give LeadStead tighter control over messaging, speed, project targeting, conversion tracking and testing.

Can campaign landing pages use our paving company branding?

Yes. Campaign pages can use your company name, logo, offer and visual identity and may operate on a branded subdomain such as quote.yourcompany.com, get.yourcompany.com or another approved address.

Why is there a $5,000 minimum advertising budget?

Paving search traffic can be competitive and highly seasonal, and project values can vary significantly. The campaign needs enough media budget to reach a meaningful number of prospects and produce enough conversion data to optimize intelligently.

The $5,000 minimum is media spend paid directly to the advertising platforms and is separate from LeadStead’s $2,500 monthly management fee.

Can my paving company cap monthly advertising spend?

Yes. Your company approves a maximum media budget and LeadStead manages within those agreed spending parameters.

Is there a maximum number of paving leads we can receive?

No arbitrary lead cap is imposed simply because the campaign is performing well.

If LeadStead improves campaign efficiency and generates more qualified paving opportunities within your approved advertising budget, your $2,500 monthly management fee does not increase because of the additional lead volume.

What happens if our paving crews or estimating team reach capacity?

Additional demand only helps when your paving company can respond, estimate and complete the work.

If crews, equipment or estimators fill up, budgets, service areas, project types or advertising schedules can be adjusted. LeadStead does not charge an additional fee for each extra lead generated.

Does the performance guarantee mean every paving lead will become a signed project?

No. LeadStead’s benchmark measures agreed customer-acquisition performance, not guaranteed estimates, signed projects, revenue or profit.

Your response speed, site-visit process, pricing, estimating quality, reputation, availability and follow-up all affect whether a qualified paving opportunity becomes paying work.

What paving services can the campaign target?

Depending on your company and market, campaigns may target services such as:

  • Driveway paving
  • Asphalt replacement and resurfacing
  • Commercial parking lots
  • Private roads and lanes
  • Asphalt repairs and patching
  • Concrete paving where offered
  • Sealcoating and pavement maintenance where offered
  • Industrial, institutional and multi-property paving
  • Other approved paving services
Is LeadStead a paving lead vendor or a managed marketing partner?

LeadStead operates as a managed customer-acquisition partner rather than a traditional shared lead marketplace.

We manage the advertising, landing pages, tracking, qualification and lead-delivery infrastructure for your paving company under a flat monthly management fee. Leads generated through your dedicated campaign are not resold by LeadStead to competing paving contractors.
